Inspired by the creative culinary energy I encountered at a pizza-making party a few days ago, I made a stromboli this morning. I spread the flattened bread dough with homemade pesto, dotted it with oven-roasted herbed cherry tomatoes, added about 1/3 of a pound of thin-sliced bbq'd Bloody Mary tri tip, then grated parmesan and jalapeno jack over all. Rolled it up pinwheel-style, let it rest for about 30 minutes, than baked it. | |
