hi ETS2... I have not seen this before but the ocean is rough and pushing the ice against the wall... breaking it up from motion and then chipping the edges off leaving all of these rounded off pieces... I went to take photos of the boats on the pier... and saw this interesting ice... maybe it happens all the time... but it is new to me : )

Definitely interesting and a great photo. All these bits of ice must look fascinating in different angles of light.

hi Doris : ) It sure would... here it mainly in the shade due to the angle of the sun and other structures... I was on the pier looking down... already nervous... the constant motion... I think people at home on the ocean would find my lack of sea legs amusing..
