Better... Much better, Grimp. Lets just put it this way. I'm a techy and I put the Beta version on a partition just to check it out and 2 weeks later I deleted my other partitions because I was already sold on W7. Best OS release ever, period.

So you would tell me to upgrade from Vista or just stay with Vista until I get a new machine?

Grimp, I would say throw Vista away and buy a W7 cd ASAP, well OCT 22nd that is!!!

Vista was the "thing" they came up with while working on W7. 6 years Microsoft has been working on this OS and I can't believe how user friendly it is and I would have to say that it is the most stable OS to EVER come out of the box period.

I really hate Vista. It doesn't interface well with colleges for online schooling for my daughter and she said she when she gets a new computer she would take the older version of windows anyday. So I'm glad they came out with a more stable W7, she'll be happier too.

Smiles, if she has a .edu email address she can get W7 for $30. Just a thought cause that's an awesome deal.

A big problem we are seeing at work is it not being compatible with VPN's....

Other than a few OME machines with retail copies on them not being compatible with certain OEM drivers.....not many other real issues.
