Of course ~ it's getting spanked by a Mustang.

Dude. I should sell the old lead sled and get me a GT. I haven't had a speeding ticket or anything in like 13 years. It's time I got back at burning some rubber. I once got pulled over while driving my '69 Dart GT. The cop strode up to my window and said, "You came around that corner like your ass was on fire!" Amazingly, he let me go with a warning.

This baby is going to be for sale i think. It's time to start all over again. I can't do anything more to it and keep it street legal. it's kind of street legal now.

Spanking a TA! Too funny!! How long since you've had a ticket fo de pre?

I think Ford has the design fairly close to "right" now, you guys agree?

I agree. I love when my little small block spanks a big block.

Oh, hell yessss! The current Mustang is going to be this generation's '64-1/2.
And I think that one day I'll have one. Maybe a Cobra version...!

Note JP... The only Cobra version as of right now is the Shelby. Actaully the only differance between that and the GT is cosmetic and well... $10,000.

...and the coolness and the limited numbers available. As an investment, it'd be amazing in the long run. The GT sports a 4.6 liter, and the Cobra is running a 5.4 liter. And how about the supercharger? How about 32 valves? 500+ horsepower? And the improved exhaust, and the six-speed transmission, improved suspension and brakes.... While not officially marketed as a "Cobra," the Shelby GT500 uses the Cobra badges to denote the Shelby history. Personally, the close relationship between Ford, Shelby, and the SVT team, as well as developments with other partners and the enthusiast world, all packaged in that awesome vehicle, are worth the extra $10,000 ~ if only I HAD that kind of money. But one really couldn't purchase a new Mustang GT off the showroom floor and turn it into a Shelby GT500 "Cobra" for ten grand.

Interesting to see the comments here... Ford has reintroduced the black & gold combo, like the original Hertz, I'd prefer that color in a GT and especially since I had a 76 Cobra with a 302 V8, 4 spd in the black & gold, back in 77,78 & 79... I know...being a girl it got me lots of attention, but, I was never afraid to get on it, and enjoyed the car very much ... albeit it was a Mustang II, and they were simply a glofied Pinto at the time... I dream of a new one, but my Toyota is too darn reliable...however, I'd love to put the TRD pkg in the Solara...might be fun with the manual... wish I knew someone who's done it with the V6.... my husband says: "oh, you need that to go to Safeway"... Love the cars guys, and your racing photos !!!
