I usually hear NZ in the winter months and most of them are usually mobile... I`ll have to listen out for NZSHUTTER some day!! It`s a good hobby as I don`t spend much on cellphones and mobile phones as I can talk locally for about 50 miles to friends and also further using other bands. I also use my handheld radio while out walking the dog and I get distances on the hills locally to about 100 miles... Keeps me fit! lol

superb!! 6M i`ll have a little shot at in the spring here in UK.. I have some copper pole for a dipole but really a 2 element beam home made should work. My mate has just made a delta loop in the attic for 6m and well it`s 1 to 1 on the swr!! he`s a lucky devil! lol

I never quite got to the point of testing for my HF privs. Just 2m/6m/440 and can legally build a pretty kick-ass radio thanks to the advanced license :)
