Visiting the Landis Arboretum --- #10 of 10
Esperance, New York
Wednesday, October 6, 2010
The Landis Arboretum is located on the site of a 19th Century farm, the home of Fred Lape, who founded the Arboretum. He established the arboretum in 1951 and it was incorporated ten years later as a memorial to George Landis, a colleague who collaborated in making the plantings.
There were several pieces of art on display at the arboretum, including this giant wooden train.
This ends our trip to New York. I hope that we can visit again next year!
