Sunday, October 2, 2011
The Albany Bulb used to be a dumping ground for construction debris. In the 1980s, the dumping was stopped, and the area was cleaned up and turned into a park with the support of the local residents.
Artists are encouraged to use the concrete chunks, wood, and rebar as raw materials for public art.
Quite a few visitors bring their children and dogs to play at the park. The dog in foreground was wet, probably from a swim in the Bay. | |
