Part 1 of 4: There are two boathouses on the lake, but one of them was under renovation for several years. The work is almost finished!

The structure was originally built in 1909 as a firefighters' pumping station. Then it was a den of miscellaneous city offices for many years.

Really? I was under the impression that it had been a boathouse for the latter part of its history at least. That's what we always called it, anyway.
