This red climbing rose was in the yard when we moved here. It had been cut down almost to the ground and left for dead.

I could see that there was still a bit of life in this plant, so we nurtured it. It turned out to be a climbing rose with delicate canes, so Andrew installed a trellis next to the fence.

After twelve years, this rose has covered the trellis and is a prolific bloomer from the middle of spring until the end of autumn!
