The weather was nice that day, so we decided to pay a visit to our local shoreline park. During our visit, the local airship "Eureka" passed overhead.

I thought that blimps and airships were two different things, but I'm not really an expert on this sort of thing.

The company's website refers to the Eureka vessel as being an airship or a zeppelin, and it's a passenger vehicle designed for long-distance travel as well as for tours around the area. It's built in the same way that the Hindenburg was, but it uses helium gas rather than hydrogen.

I'd like to ride it down the coast from the Bay Area to Los Angeles some time ......

I checked ourt the link.
A day trip starts at $600 with a second reservation at 1/2 price.
$900 for two for a day is not that crazy, considering I paid $350 for a 2 hour balloon ride.
