I didn't notice the ants during my photo session, but I decided to leave them in rather than retouch this picture. I don't mind the occasional ant, as long as they stay outside.

This is the final one in my summer roses series. We also have a Lady Banks rose, but it blooms only in the spring. I posted a photo a few weeks ago:
