One of the things that we enjoy about the December holidays is the special beers that are brewed especially for this time of year. We're talking about spiced beers, "winter warmers", strong ales, and barley wines, and the Pacific Coast Brewing Company in Oakland hosts a tasting every year in early December.

We arrived at the brewpub shortly after noon. Since we're regulars, Steve gave us our usual table by the window so that we could enjoy the view as well as the food and drink that would be served during the next four hours.

As you can see, it was a beautiful sunny day.
