This is the view from my front porch. The buildings across the street are part of Kaiser Hospital. My next-door neighbor lives in a bungalow and there's a large apartment complex on his other side.

We get a lot of morning fog here. However, I think that the fog helps keep it from getting very cold in the winter or very hot in the summer. The fog is usually gone by lunchtime.
