Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline

The weather was nice that day, so we decided to pay a visit to the shoreline park.
This area had been filled in during the 1980s, but a cooperative effort by several environment groups lead to efforts to restore the marsh and reclaim the land for wildlife. This particular section of the park was completed in 1998, and the project restored the tidal flow to these wetlands.
We're looking to the west from the Observation Tower. In the foreground is one of the fishing piers, and that's San Francisco in the background.
