Alameda County, California
Monday, May 7, 2012
There's a restoration project going on in the park now, with the goal of removing exotic trees and bringing the native grasslands back to life.
The soil in this area is full of serpentine, and non-native trees don't always do well in such soil.
However, it's a great area for wildflowers, and the season is just beginning. I'll be posting a few pictures, starting tomorrow! | |
