Ruth Asawa is a San Francisco artist who has created a number of pieces of public art in San Francisco and Oakland, California. During the next few months, I plan to visit as many of them as I can and photograph them for you to enjoy, too.

Like the series I posted last week, this work depicts the history of San Francisco, starting in ancient times.

I won't normally post the plaque, but I think that the design of this one is so sweet!
