We ended our day by heading back to Seattle for a visit to the Olympic Sculpture Park. This was a former industrial site, and it became part of a brownfield development project. The park features a salmon habitat with native plantings, public gardens, and there are public artworks throughout the park.
This is "Bunyon's Chess," a piece by Mark di Suvero from 1965. It was created specifically for outdoor display in Seattle, and I love the view of the waterfront in the background. | |
