We ended our day by heading back to Seattle for a visit to the Olympic Sculpture Park. This was a former industrial site, and it became part of a brownfield development project. The park features a salmon habitat with native plantings, public gardens, and there are public artworks throughout the park.
This beautiful piece is "Split", a stainless steel sculpture by Roxy Paine. The artist used pipes of more than 20 different diameters to represent a natural tree's structure. | |
