San Francisco Yesterday and Today (1984), by Ruth Asawa --- #3 of 5
glass-fiber reinforced concrete bas-relief wall at the Renaissance Parc 55 hotel
55 Cyril Magnin Street, Union Square
San Francisco, California

Ruth Asawa is a San Francisco artist who has created a number of pieces of public art in San Francisco and Oakland, California. During the next few months, I plan to visit as many of them as I can and photograph them for you to enjoy, too.

Like the series I posted last week, this work depicts the history of San Francisco, starting in ancient times.

This is a fun view of the San Francisco Victorians, also known as the "Painted Ladies!"
