We ended our day by heading back to Seattle for a visit to the Olympic Sculpture Park. This was a former industrial site, and it became part of a brownfield development project. The park features a salmon habitat with native plantings, public gardens, and there are public artworks throughout the park.
This is "Seattle Cloud Cover" (2004-2006), a bridge that was built by Teresita Fernández. The work features saturated color photographs sandwiched between panes of glass, and visitors can use the walkway to cross over the railway below.
I love the colors!
