Ruth Asawa is a California artist whose work I like very much. She has several public art pieces available for viewing in San Francisco, and during the next few months I plan to photograph as many of them as I can.

This work features two bronze "lotus blossom" fountains and concrete bas-relief benches.

There was a plaque on each set of benches: "The lotus blossom design was inspired by origami, the art of Japanese paper folding."
