Visiting the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle, Washington --- #4 of 10
Sunday, July 18, 2010
We ended our day by heading back to Seattle for a visit to the Olympic Sculpture Park. This was a former industrial site, and it became part of a brownfield development project. The park features a salmon habitat with native plantings, public gardens, and there are public artworks throughout the park.
This is another piece by Beverly Pepper, an older work from 1967. The park brochure describes it as being made from industrial materials with an "optical" finish.
Since it's still Thursday here in Oakland, California (and in Seattle!), this is my entry for "Reflection Thursday!"
