Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve

The huckleberries are getting ready for harvest, and the darker they are the sweeter they are!

While we were hiking, we came across a group harvesting some to take home. One woman mentioned that she was planning to make muffins for breakfast the next day.

I picked just a few huckleberries to eat on the trail. They were delicious!
