This is part of a new planting in our garden --- I recently put in five dianthus plants. They are related to carnations, and they are commonly known as "pinks." I think that name is apt!

I just figured out that I don't have pink in my garden...
oh yes, one climbing rose that goes back with our family as far as I can remember and now traveled to other country with me... it's very dark pink, almost red.
