Whenever I visit a new city -- or pay a visit to a place that I haven't visited in a long time -- I like to take a long walk down the streets where the independent bookstores and coffee shops are, where you might find arts and crafts galleries, or small shops that feature work by local dressmakers or jewelers. If there are some good but inexpensive bakeries or restaurants there, you can have a really good lunch or supper. If there are some really strange shops around, so much the better.
If you can, take a look at the large version of this photo. You'll be able to get a good look at what this shop sells as well as the suits of armor by the front door! | |
