Thanks elsje - it was taken a long time ago - I think on my old voitlander camera. I used to develop my own black and white film in those days but this one seems to have lasted rather better than most of those that I printed myself.
I think I caught this one back to London on my way back to boarding school.

Good photo! It did not change a lot since then. I was in THR 2005, 2006-2007. Although they have a new one (called Ayatollah Khomeini) at the south, near Iman Khomeine shrine.

Thanks wayoman - keep planning to go back for a visit but something always comes up - iraq war, nuclear boycotts etc. Teheran in the spring is absolutely beautiful especially if you go out to somewhere like karaj where all the fruit trees are.

Yes - state of the art back then - but then I remember flying on a comet out to Teheran via Rome and Beirut. Fortunately not one of the ones that crashed in to the Med.
