We have floods and you have dried rivers!!

May, it is amazing is it not?? We have little to no rain from May through October. And then we get most of our annual rainfall in Jan-Mar. A lot of wetlands, streams and ditches that are dry now but will surging this winter. Way back before flood control efforts, the central valley of California, where most of the US's produce is grown, was just a huge flood plain.
