Dang! I guess when I hose off more of the soot in the yard, I'll give this guy a squirt too. Gee...hope there aren't any yellow jacket nests back there again. Hum....
I saw them going into the hanging lantern on the right the other day, btw.

anybody in their general family gets immediately killed in my presence - last sting (red hornet) in 2001 - within 5 minutes my skin was turning necrotic - I NEVER want to go thru that again - scared the daylights out of me!! :-))

Bill, sounds like you are quite allergic! I am as well, last wasp sting and I nearly stopped breathing! ER for sure. Not pleasant. I always try to eradicate them as well. We have some mud wasps around that are very docile, but the yellow jackets are a different story!!

True! I guess when you have to go ......... We do like the birds so we put up with it and just hose off often :-))

You know how those birds are, Frank! I guess they do not want to share the fence!!
