John, thanks for your kind and inspriational words! The fires are around our area but we live in town with water on 3 sides so we should be safe! I feel for those who have lost there woodlands or homes!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Oh no, Roger!!!!!! I guess that is probably the one thing you didn't or couldn't plan for on your journey. Not practical to caryy a back up laptop. Hope you can get it fixed... or will you have to replace it? Hang in there!!

Ha! I was gonna say that next time I'm in LA, I'll try to arrange coffee and fotos with you, but then I looked for Redding at Google maps. Not exactly close by, Redding and LA. =)

You aare right, JP! Mich is a pretty big state but CA is really long north to south. LA is about an 8 hour drive from here, and a very pricey one with gas at $4.50 + Really sucks!!!!!! You ever tie in a vacation toone of your trips, let me know and we can always meet somewhere in the middle.
