Sini, it is a fishfly or sometimes called a Califonia dobsonfly. Found near streams in northern califonia in the summer. It is very large, 25-50 mm!

Thanks, Lizzie!!Denise found it and told me to take the picture! I am glad it waited for old, slow me to get my stuff. It was dim so I had to get the tripod and it was on the ceiling so I had to get a stool and then I couldn't see the live view so I had to get my glasses...... oh the joys of growing old!!!
