Fantastic. I often wonder what it would be like to be in a forest when the snow falls. A gentle fall not a raging blizzard. Would it be still and quiet with softly falling flakes?
Or would there be a lot of noise as the weight of snow on branches caused them to creak? Do you know?

Sue, it is absolutely still and so quiet you can hear your heart beating. I find it an amazing thing to experience no matter how many times I do so. I qualify this by saying it is true in areas that normally get lots of snow. You can see in my photo that the trees are tall and slender and the branches slope downward. You will find this in areas of heavy snow. Lower down, where snow may be rare or occasional the branches do often break and creak. :-))
