Mulhaqdesigner: already in 1956 the Hungarian people stood up against the Russian (=soviet) army, that had kept Hungary occupied since 1945 (end of World War II). Unfortunately this uprising was knocked down mercilessly by the russian army in a very bloody way. Nowadays Hungary is free again and an independent country. The recent scandal about the latest elections and the Hungarian president being involved in this, caused the 50th anniversary of the 1956 attempt to a revolution to be spoilt. A lot of police was out in the Budapest streets to try and keep the people under control...
