Horse meat is popular in Guilin and there is at least one horse restaurant in Liuzhou.

in my youth i used to go to a butcher shop in berlin, that only had horse meat. i loved their "bockwurst" and "wieners". liuzhou seems so much less provincial than beihai. dog and cat meat you can get here easily, but beef is much less available and horse not at all.
