Brother Ben, Dutch, patron of DBCH orphanage (55 years in Bundu Tuhan, Kundasang) has been in Sabah Medical Centre for treatment since 8 weeks back. He was bitten by a small insect in the evening in his place of residence in Bundu Tuhan, Kundasang. He didn't know what bit him (doctors or specialists also don't know what bit him despite various investigations). The point of the bite is near the elbow joint of his right arm .. Swollen (due to toxins or poison of the bite + painful first + arm paralysed) to twice the size in the inflicted arm (now, it has returned to normal size + right arm, hand & fingers can move well) .. 3 specialists have seen him .. Much medical treatment already done, including operations, cleansing, bandaging etc .. He is in recovery or healing stage (progressing OK now). He thinks he shall stay there for another 2 weeks before discharge.
Except for the bandaged arm, otherwise, he is very OK. He can walk around, does sms with his handphone + see visitors + speaking and joking as usual .. Priests, Brothers, Sisters, faithfuls, DBCH kids, friends etc come to visit him .. His mind and memory is still alert and sharp .. His heart and hearing is very ok .. He is still very strong & healthy despite the infected arm.
