"how come I can remember the number but forgot it was Tuesday?"
I'm the same with Dad's Ford Anglia number plate, he had a smart AA badge too.
Crazy Friday innit?
and dad was so proud of it, see the vizors over the headlights, the spot and radio aeriel, can't remember it having a radio, perhaps it was the one we tried to get going in a mates car years later, huge thing, never worked! and that strong smell of leather upholstry always made me car sick!
yes ... i can see, people where always so proud in days gone by dave... i remember everyone out on sunny sundays washing there cars ..it was like a national institution ... i still do mine on sundays now
I also have very bad memories of being travel sick.. mum used to buy this orange coloured travelling medicine..it was as bad as the smell you talk about .. i would even feel rough before my dad pulled off ... lol
I remember him getting very angry when mum asked him to pull over so i could get out to be ill..... ..
it seemed all old cars had that distinctive weird smell, not just my dads
