Great shot. Personally, at first I couldn't decide if this was real or a computer generated image. For a portfoilio it looks a little over done to me but, as an image its stunning! For me, I would never ask a model to smile. It always looks forced and fake unless you happen to sneakely capture a moment where they are smiling or laughing
Spidey: OK ! Accepted! I did use the high pass vivid enhancement wh PS. Others I don't coz she has smooth silky skin. Very rare without makeup to get this. The 24MB original file does look diff though.... Smile thing! I prefer not to smile coz the cheek will hv some prob n no eye expression .
Thanks! But pls gv opinion rhino! Tones? Over or under expose? Too sharp? Hand pose wrongly placed? Got to hv better make up? More prop? Fingers shld be more visible? mouth shld be more sensual etc............
Magnificent - Great Tones - Fingers should be more visible, Has Serious Look,
Would like to see a Smile, Shadow on face, Would have used fill in lighting on Face,
I Like the Pose, it projects Attitude ;-)
dear friend.yes,u're right,i've just noticed the fingers... not a comftable pose, personally lit round faces with different lighting pattern, true, she's not tall so focus on other capacities;-))
good luck
well, the split lighting you did here except that rim on the right ;-)let the one side integrate into background,as you know better than me,to create a lil more depth ,use accent lights lit her hair, not that much separation from the background ....I know it's called more artistic than a commercial! just an idea.
Also don't like that white chair in the back (lost concentration) hmm,..maybe a darker back helps more here to emphasis the subject or does she really need this black outfit when she's such a thin!,lol she could have use a bright live red e.g or sth like that(more feminine effect, sensual appearance)...bad or good,I myself almost choose ordinary client's clothes when they come to the studio ;-)
In my image I love hight contrast,Hans. You can drop lighting on background around 2 stops for dark then choose the light from softbox or strip left or right the only one and the other one is fill reflect if in the studio hv white wall you can turn the direct light to the wall when you shoot flash, it'll reflect to the subject or model the opposite filling reflect close to her. That's image from one electric flash and fill reflect. The other choice from me, if u interesting about rim lighting u can add the light on the floor tilt 60 degree just about her shoulder. before u shoot not forget to check the dept of field and lighting between back and the other side, told yr model about mood that u want turn her waist a little bit up or bend down her head take a looked at the camera or not up to u. This shot in my idea, I feel the lighting on right unneeded for me I don't like clear lighting bright on left and fade down for volume on right, enough.
Wowww...too long.... ';))
man, i so much agree with spideyj. i hate fake smiles. let's allert lalbabu to this exchange :-))))
the only improvement to this would be to remove the high lights of the chair, which draw the eyes to the light. she deserves to be seen without distraction
