Comet's Fotothing

Manuscript displayed (under glass) at the Matenadaran in Yerevan. The depository holds about 17,000 Armenian and foreign manuscripts, gathered over its 1,600 year lineage. About 1 percent are on display while most are kept in vaults set into the hillside beneath the Matenadaran. The documents at the museum provide insight into Armenia's historical, scientific, literary, and artistic development over the ages.
