Michael met up with an old colleague, Alan, who worked for Ilfracombe Radio which was an important part of the maritime communications network when Michael was at sea.
Emmanuel church, Ilfracombe.
This is now a join Methodist and United Reformed Church and Alan is the organist here.
It was my first visit but I first heard of this church many years ago when I was a student at St Andrews and a friend of mine who was studying theology also, was the son of the then minister.
View of part of the church interior, complete with stained glass windows.

Nice to see some of the smaller denominations getting a mention here, although I suspect that the building was originally an Anglican Church. It's a beautiful building.

No Pam it was actually built as a Methodist Church and combined with the URC sometime after the 1970s when the then Pastor's son, Steve Kent, and I were at St Andrews.
