Picture of original Statue of David in Rome, taken by friend who was able to sneek this shot without getting caught. Seems noone is allowed to take pictures of this statue. Anyone out there know why?

because the strong light of flashes may ruin them. There are many museums where taking pics is forbidden.

I visited a lot of museums in Italy, and the guards don't let you in with cameras. they are severe about this. I think that they do this to convince you to buy their books:)
