Vancouver Gay Pride Parade 2011

Western Canada's largest city and a longtime center of gay activism, Vancouver hosts a terrific Gay Pride Parade and Festival in late July, although it comprises a series of events held over the six weeks leading up to the final weekend.
The official festivities take place Sunday, July 31, the day of the Annual Pride Parade and Festival. A vast array of concerts, parties, lectures, boat cruises, art exhibitions, and similarly enticing events take place during the days leading up to the parade. Vancouver Gay Pride has drawn more than 520,000 participants this year.

Curious as I am I've decided to go to the Pride Parade this year. My first but probably not my last.
It was quite an experience, took lots of pictures and even met a very nice gay couple. We had late lunch and spent some great time together.
