Mr. Leon Julian Johns, 87, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at Hospice Savannah after a short illness. Born in Camilla, GA, Mr. Johns had lived in Savannah most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Inez J. Johns and daughter, Carolyn Laneta Johns. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as owner of Johns Paint and Body Service in 1974. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Leon J. Johns, Jr. and Terri of Blitchton; his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela T. Ford and Bryon of Pooler; four grandchildren, Kevin Johns, Dana King, Christopher Mincey and Heather Johns; three great-grandchildren, Katelyn King, Trista King and Chandler Mincey; brother, Randolph Johns of Brunswick and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral: 1 p.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church of Garden City with Rev. Ken Sharpe officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Anderson Sunday School Class. Burial will be in Bonaventure Cemetery, Greenwich Section. Remembrances may be given to Hospice Savannah, P.O.
