Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, U.S.A. - Margaret Ann (Peggy) Moore Akins, 80, wife of William R. Akins, died Friday, February 9, 2007 in the Heritage Park Nursing Home, Savannah, GA. She was born in Savannah, GA on February 8, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Austin Moore and Henrietta Garwees Moore. She was the Secretary to the Principal of Hilton Head High School and she was a Lutheran. She is survived by her husband, William R. Akins of Bluffton, SC; two sons and daughters in law, Liam and Teresa Akins of Charlotte, NC and Randy and Stuart Akins of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; one daughter, Deborah Akins of Charlotte, NC; one cousin, Mary T. Rowse of Savannah, GA; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 12, 2007 in the Bluffton Cemetery, Bluffton, SC. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 pm until the hour of the service at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC.
