Ailey - Mr. Kenneth Evans Hughes, 72 of Hackbrach Road, Ailey, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 in the Community Hospice House of Vidalia after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong of Montgomery County, a retired carpenter, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was Methodist by faith. Mr. Hughes is survived by his mother, Essie Evans Hughes of Vidalia; two brothers, Robert (Earldeen) Hughes of Millen and Sweet Hughes of Vidalia, three nieces, Kay Hughes Autrey of Savannah; Susan Hughes Young of East Dublin and Carol Hughes Jeffcoat of Vidalia, and one nephew, Robbie Hughes of Savannah. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2007 in the chapel of Murchison Funeral Home. Interment: Hughes Cemetery in Montgomery County.
