Savannah -Patricia E. 'Pat' Mims, 58, passed away on Saturday April 1, 2006 after a brief illness. Pat was born in Marianna, Fl. In August of 1965 she married her high school sweetheart, Max. They have lived in Jacksonville since 1986. She was an account specialist for Crowley Maritime and a member of Terry Parker Baptist Church. Pat had a great love of her children and grandchildren who affectionately called her 'Mimi'. She was a loving friend and a blessing to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Lacretia Cooper and her brother Randall Elmore She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Hinton 'Max' Mims; daughter, Tracy Mims Bowling (Robert); a son, Robert 'Bob' Mims (Selina); sisters, Lenora and Tammy Lipford; brothers, James Elmore (Barbara) and Tony Elmore (Judy); brother-in law, Elwyn Cooper, brother-in-law, Murry Mims (Gilda); grandchildren, Matthew Bowling, Suzanne Bernosky, Alexa andMax Mims; and several nieces, nephews and loving friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. April 5, 2006 at the Chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Funeral services for Mrs. Mims will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Terry Parker Baptist Church with Pastor Howard Goodwin officiating. Fellowship to celebrate her life will follow the service at the Terry Parker Baptist Church Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make a memorial in her memory to Terry Parker Baptist Church General Budget Fund, 7024 Merrill Road, Jax, Fl. 32277.
