Mr. Phillip William Raiford, age 74, Vidalia, died Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at his residence after an extended illness.

The Vidalia native was an Eagle Scout, business owner, family man, and Child of God.

Survivors include his wife, Augustina Raiford; sons, Steve, George, Joe, and Frank; grandchildren, John, Jacob, Madeleine, Mattie, and Meredith; nephew, Beau Hudson; niece, Maria Sasser; and other nephews and nieces.

Graveside services were held Friday, February 18, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. in Pinecrest Cemetery with Bob Dixon, Jr., officiating.

Murchison Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
