The native and life long resident of Bulloch County was the daughter of the late Dock H. and Naomi Hendrix. She graduated from Georgia Teachers College and was employed with the Bulloch County School System as a teacher for 35 years. She attended the Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church and the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are a sister, Eubie Lee Crosby of Brunswick and three sisters in law, Mary Hendrix of Statesboro, Polly Hendrix of Evans and Florene Hendrix of Statesboro. Many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews also survive. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church. The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1529 Metts Rd.
