Born in Savannah, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Walter Thomas Davis, Jr. and Juanita Bentz Davis. Mrs. Pender was a member of Hope Baptist Church, a homemaker and a seamstress. She was formerly a Field Service Technician with Proctor and Gamble. She was dearly loved by her two girls and the other members of her family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Davis Brigdon. Surviving are two daughters, Sherry L. Pender and Dawn Elaine Pender, both of Savannah, Georgia; two sisters, Judith Demas and her husband, Tony, of Savannah, Georgia, and Marsha Bowman and her husband, Jeff, of Johns Island, South Carolina; one brother, Buster Davis and his wife, Colleen, of Cincinnati, Ohio; her brother-in-law, Phillip M. Brigdon, Jr. of Midway, Georgia, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o'clock Thursday evening at Gamble Funeral Service, 410 Stephenson Avenue. Funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in the chapel of Gamble Funeral Service conducted by The Reverend Dr. John R. Tramell, Jr. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
