Bobbitt's Fotothing PhotoBlog InfoThing: Lamar was assigned to the "USS Oneida" an attack transport based at San Francisco. It had not been commissioned. He called for me to come. I bought a ticket - then someone called that Lamar was going to call the next day. I waited for his call - he just wanted me to come on. My train had left me - as I had to wait for his call. I had to just board the next train without berth. Oh well, I was young and anxious to be with my husband. I had to borrow money from Mother!
