Rev. Dwayne D. Bobbitt, 80, May 3, 1924 - September 27, 2004

Funeral services for the Rev. Dwayne D. Bobbitt, 80, will be held at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Rev.
Doyle Seely, pastor of Chandler First Assembly of God will officiate. Interment will be at Little Cemetery.

He passed away Monday, September 27, 2004 at Seminole Medical Center.

The Rev. Dwayne D. Bobbitt was born on May 3, 1924 in Eufaula, OK to Lawrence & Susan (Sailor) Bobbitt. He married Virginia Lee Hyatt on September 21, 1943 in
Seminole, OK.

He was ordained as a minister for the Assemblies of God on March 1, 1960. He has ministered in the Arkansas, California, Oklahoma and Texas District of the Assemblies of God for 50 years. The Rev. Dwayne D. Bobbitt preached his final two sermons at Hilltop Assembly of God, Seminole on Sunday, September 26,
2004. He accepted Christ as Savior of his life on November 4, 1954 and spent his life preaching the gospel and sharing God’s love.

Dwayne D. Bobbitt was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a daughter.

Surviving family members are his wife, Virginia Lee Bobbitt of the home; daughter, Eileen Marie Smart of McKinney, TX; four granddaughters, Leona Bolding & husband of Oak Point, TX, Gail Snider & husband of
Pilot Point, TX, Lisa McGee of Ponca City, OK and Regina Stillwell & husband of Seminole, OK.
Additional survivors are six great grandchildren, Alex & Elaine Snider, Joshua Bolding, Justin McGee and Eric & Samantha Stillwell.

Pallbearers are grandsons-in-law Mark Bolding & John Snider; pallbearers from Hilltop Assembly of God are Larry Davidson, Joe Houck, Mark Poulter and Walter
Tibbs. Honorary pallbearer is Carl Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Legion Children’s Home “Chapel Fund,” 1300 Summers Place, Ponca City, OK 74604.
