Mrs. Daisy Bell Hendrix Ponder, 89, of Savannah, died Sunday, Aug 27, 2006 at her residence, under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc. , surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Sylvania, GA, and was preceded in death by her husband, Esau Ponder, Sr., and she was a member of First Thessalonian Holiness Church. She is survived by two daughters, Doloris Ponder Johnson, and Trusan Ponder both of Savannah, GA; four sons, Willie A. Ponder of Savannah, GA; Minister Ralph Ponder of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Esau Ponder, Jr., of New Jersey, and Johnnie L. Ponder of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Claudia Bryant of Savannah, Ga, and Dessie Ponder of Sylvania, GA; a sister in law, Mary Hendrix, of Savannah, GA; 11 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation: 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at First Thessalonian Holiness Church. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Thessolonian Holiness Church, with Deacon Robert Miller, officiating.
